For over fifteen years, teaching the Word of God has been both a privilege and a weighty responsibility. At Rooted Path Ministries, we believe Bible study begins long before a lesson is written, or a teacher stands before a room. It begins with prayer—prayer, prayer, and more prayer—and with a willingness to sit beneath the Word before ever attempting to teach it to someone else.

We study to learn first.

There is an order to show how we approach Scripture: the awe of the Word comes before the aha of the Word. Before looking for the clever insight, the memorable connection, or the perfect teaching point, we want to come to Scripture with reverence and anticipation, expecting to grow in our knowledge of Jesus Christ. Teaching comes afterward, and we approach that responsibility with fear and trembling.

Our teaching is expository and verse by verse, with a commitment to the full counsel of the Word of God. We are not interested in avoiding difficult passages, softening uncomfortable truths, or skipping the portions of Scripture that do not fit neatly into modern culture. Feelings are fickle, and the heart is deceitful. The question is not simply, “What does this passage mean to me?” but “What has God said, and what does He desire from us?” We endeavor to let the Word interpret the Word and allow Scripture—not culture, emotion, or preference—to have the final say.

 

​And we dearly love the Old Testament.

One of our favorite pursuits is the treasure hunt for Jesus through its pages. From Genesis forward, Scripture tells one magnificent story of redemption, and Christ stands at its center. He is there in the promises, the patterns, the sacrifices, the shadows, and the unfolding plan of God. When you search for Jesus on every page, the Bible lights up. Familiar passages deepen, connections emerge, and sixty-six books increasingly reveal themselves as one breathtaking story with one glorious Redeemer.

Ultimately, however, our goal is not simply to teach women the Bible. It is to teach women how to study the Bible.

​

Our deepest desire is for women to discover the extraordinary gift of opening the Scriptures at home, learning to rightly divide the Word of truth for themselves—just them, their Bible, and Jesus. We want women equipped to dig, question, cross-reference, wrestle with difficult passages, follow biblical threads, and discover the treasures of Scripture firsthand.

We are not trying merely to create students for a season.

We want to make Bible students for life.
