600 of David's men set out to fight the enemy who plundered their camp. 200 of those wore out early, stayed behind, made camp and watched the supplies while the rest went to battle.
When David and the 400 returned, they had recovered all, even what belonged to those who didn't fight. Some of the men complained. Surely the ones who stayed behind did not deserve any plunder at all.
But David replied:"For as is the share be who GOES down into the battle, so shall his share be who STAYS by the baggage."
1 Samuel 30:24
They shall share.
Soldier on the Front line: The ones who stay behind lighten your load with their "support" so that you can battle well.
Support team: You may not be on the front lines, but that doesn't mean you are discounted for the kingdom. And because of your service, those front line soldiers can do their job unhindered.
All do a part, whether visible or invisible. The servant who serves unnoticed will be rewarded equally.
Wonderful encouragement, thank you!
